I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 15 years and helped hundreds of people navigate life challenges. I hold a Masters in Social Work from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelors in Psychology from Cal Poly State University.

Over the course of my career, I’ve been a social worker, therapist, coach, trainer and lecturer. My passion is to empower people so they can have a deeper understanding of their life experiences, and make decisions that support them in living an authentic and thriving life. 

One area that’s a repeated topic of discussion for many of my clients is relationships and dating. As a South Asian, I’ve seen my clients struggle to decide between their parents’ expectations, versus what they want. I’ve seen the difficulty they have around dating, and the pain they’ve felt when a relationship ends.

Within the larger society, I’ve seen a similar lack of caring as someone goes through a break-up. Generally, we don’t quite know how to help someone beyond saying “sorry.”
